Education of Confined Youth
NJDA, through the research and leadership of key members, has a thirty-five
year history of critical involvement in education issues
for confined youth. OJJDP continues to recognize the
importance of education for confined youth through
its support of education related projects. Examples
of OJJDP funded projects include:
Goals:
- Create a central location where practitioners can access current
information, research, materials and training.
- Identify best practice models based on information collected regarding
"high-performing" education programs.
- Develop steps/guidelines for professional development within the field
of confinement education.
