Education of Confined Youth

NJDA, through the research and leadership of key members, has a thirty-five year history of critical involvement in education issues for confined youth. OJJDP continues to recognize the importance of education for confined youth through its support of education related projects. Examples of OJJDP funded projects include:

  • Create a central location where practitioners can access current information, research, materials and training.
  • Identify best practice models based on information collected regarding "high-performing" education programs.
  • Develop steps/guidelines for professional development within the field of confinement education.
