Line Staff Professional Development Division
Training and technical assistance for line staff in juvenile confinement facilities remains CRPD's primary and foremost mission. We can provide trainers who specialize in juvenile detention, corrections, leadership, strategic planning, confinement education, and many other topics. Our grant through OJJDP allows us to provide training materials at a minimal cost to the juvenile justice field.
- Training Materials (curricula, videos, Powerpoint files, handouts, etc)
- Computer-Based Training (PreService, Advanced Topics, and Leadership Development)
- On-site Training Services (Overviews, special topics, 1 day, 2 day, and full-week courses)
On-site training is available generally on a fee-for-service basis. We can also help you develop your facility's own training capacity, thereby avoiding future costs of outsourcing. For example, CRPD offers:
- Training for Trainers
- Training Needs Assessments
- Line Staff Certification Programs
The Professional Development Division is lead by Kia Loggins. Contact Kia or any of the CRPD staff for your training
needs.
