Mission - The leadership and staff of CRPD believe the most efficient way to return a juvenile to a healthy, law abiding lifestyle is through healthy relationships with healthy adults in healthy environments. To fulfill this mission, CRPD serves as a national resource for juvenile detention and corrections professionals.

Goals -

• To conduct research on the training needs of staff in juvenile confinement facilities.
• To publish and circulate research findings and best practices recommendations to practitioners.
• To develop standardized training curricula for distribution.
• To deliver basic pre-service and in-service training courses for juvenile confinement facility staff, educators, and administrators.
• To provide technical assistance to public juvenile confinement and education agencies and juvenile justice systems.
